The History of Taggart & Associates

Founded in 1933, Taggart Insurance was originally operated in conjunction with a real estate, home building and residential loan operation.  In 1956, J. Mark Taggart joined the agency and in 1966 split off from the real estate and loan division.

Over the years the agency has seen dramatic change.  Starting with the roots of simply handling home and auto insurance (with door to door policy delivery & premium collection we might add), the agency has expanded into many areas of specialized insurance including Commercial, Bonding, Employee Benefits, Workers Compensation and now Employee Wellness Services.

Taggart Insurance continues to serve as the leader of independent agencies in Boulder.  Our emphasis on the insurance needs of major Boulder businesses has helped us maintain our growth through the years.
